CPHC Event Loans

Do you have a great idea for a conference, workshop or invited speaker event? One that will generate sufficient income to pay for its costs?

In these penny-pinching times it can be hard to find the cash, or the approval, to make dissemination events happen. CPHC exists to promote public education in Computing and its applications and as such wishes to encourage activities that support this. Small, local based, low cost, high appeal events, highlighting new or emerging technologies, or addressing key IT issues, are an excellent way to keep information flowing. CPHC are proposing to make loans of up to £5000 available to members who can provide a costed proposal for a computing related event.

Applicants will need to convince the committee that their event has sufficient appeal to attract enough paying delegates/sponsorship to repay the loan. Any surplus beyond repayment will remain with the event organiser.
